Fundraising update (by Alison)

From the UK headquarters of Parkinson's, we have been provided with a charity pot for the journey. I took a bet with Stuart that this may come back empty and promptly lost when our caravan neighbours at John O'Groats proffered us some money. Since then the pot has been used regularly, and although the amounts have not been added to the JustGiving total, Parkinson's UK will let us know the total when they empty them.

However half way through the trip thanks must go to Suzie Monk, Raj and Mark Kennedy (friends of Alex). Also many thanks to the people we have met along they way at the hotels and campsites we have visited.

Thanks also to Graham Blake (neighbour at Staines) £20, owners of the Crask Inn £20, John Mckennry £20, Sharon Sutherland (Parkinson's nurse we met by the Caledonian canal) £10, owners of the Springvale Hotel £20.

  1. I told Stu you'd get money along the way. People can be very generous. I'm looking forward to hearing how much is in the pots at the end.
